Dear Hearts, for many years I struggled with who I was as a person because I did not think I was good enough because of rejection I dealt with earlier in life. I grew up trying to change the things that made me different to fit in. However, as I embark on my 45th birthday next month, God has allowed me to embrace every core of who I am and my uniqueness. I now understand that God created me in His own image, and I am the apple of His eyes. I came to share with you today that we are all unique in our own way, but many of us still tend to copy others, so we conform to a pattern because we believe we are not good enough just as we are. Ladies and gentlemen, I encourage you today to stop comparing yourselves with others because it won’t make you fulfilled and be at peace with yourselves.
When you embrace your identity, you will make choices that are not dependent upon what other people will think and whether you will be judged, disliked, or rejected. You must focus on being your true self. Trying to be someone you’re not is exhausting. Being your true self is a courageous thing to do in a world that is constantly trying to change you. Nevertheless, when you realize that living the life you want is more important than pleasing other people, suddenly you feel free. Just remember, if you want people to accept you for who you are, you first must show them who that is. You must be your authentic self and people will gravitate towards the real you.
Don’t beat yourself up trying to be somebody you are not and accept your uniqueness because there will never be anyone like you on Earth because you are extraordinary. You must have positive self-talk with yourself. Look in the mirror and speak those affirmations to yourself, “I AM WORTHY” ….” I AM LOVED” …. “I AM NECESSARY” before you know it; you will start to believe what you speak. There is power in your tongue for the declaration to be manifested.
God has created you with unique gifts, talents, and a personality. Therefore, you could never be compared to anyone else, the way you were brought up by the people surrounding you, your education, your life experiences have made you the person you are today. I am reminded each day that I am a special human being to all who meet me because I have a unique purpose and mission in life.
I leave you today, saying “dare to be different because your uniqueness is what creates the world”. I pray these lessons can help you learn to embrace who you are and inspire you to be aware of yourself.
Be Blessed,
Adriane
